In der Welt fordert die Theaterkritikerin Klara Obermüller eine Entschuldigung von und zu Guttenberg, der in seiner Diss als seine Meinung vertrat, was in Wahrheit ihre Meinung war. Die "Panikmacher" des FAZ-Feuilletonchefs Patrick Bahners sind ein Meisterwerk der (in diesem Fall ausnahmsweise nicht fundamentalistischen) Aufklärung, ruft der SZ-Feuilletonchef Thomas Steinfeld. Die NZZ zählt die Verluste im altägyptischen Museum von Kairo.

Sehr bewegt spricht der Autor Navid Kermani im zweiseitigen Interview über die Revolution von Ägypten und die "Zärtlichkeit der Massen". Und er warnt davor, die Anziehungskraft der Freiheit zu unterschätzen: "Ich sehe CNN und werde einigermaßen umfassend und gegenwartsnah informiert, von Reportern, die in der Menge stehen, und in Debatten, die mit der aktuellen Situation jedenfalls zu tun haben, an denen immer auch die Akteure selbst zu Wort kommen - in denen Araber auftreten, ganz banal! Das Gleiche gilt, wenn ich BBC oder al-Dschasira schaue. Nur wenn ich im deutschen Fernsehen zappe, höre ich lauter Figuren aus dem 19. Jahrhundert darüber schwadronieren, dass im Islam Staat und Politik eins seien. Oder sie diskutieren, ob 'der Islam keine Freiheit kann'."
Den Mythos RAF hat auch der bisherige Dokumentarfilmer Andres Veiel mit seinem "Wer, wenn nicht wir" nicht bändigen können, meldet Daniel Kothenschulte von der Berlinale. Aber: "Das ändert nichts daran, dass hier ein großer Spielfilmregisseur geboren wurde und die Berlinale einen ihrer wenigen Höhepunkte hatte."
Weiteres: In der Affäre um den Schummelbaron bemerkt Harry Nutt maliziös, dass Guttenbergs Durchsetzungsstrategien sehr an den "Habitus des sozialen Aufsteigers" erinnern. Peter Michalzik meldet, dass die Theaterintendantin Karin Beier jetzt doch von Köln nach Hamburg wechselt.

Im realen Leben mag man mit Posen überzeugen, aber nicht im Netz. Auf Carta schreibt Julius Endert: "Gerade auf Twitter wird nicht einfach auf Ministerart abgeschrieben. Vielmehr hat sich hier eine interessante und hochdisziplinierte Fußnoten- oder besser gesagt Zitierkultur entwickelt. Bei den schmal bemessenen 140 Zeichen ist die korrekte Quellenangabe die Regel und nicht die Ausnahme."

Anders als die FAZ neulich behauptete, hatte Andre Glucksmann durchaus über die Revolutionen in Ägypten und Tunesien geschreiben - am 7. Februar in Liberation. Der Perlentaucher übernimmt den Artikel: "Facebook und Twitter sind das, was einst der Samisdat war. Die kleine Gruppe der Netzbürger trägt die Fackeln der Dissidenz."

Die Theaterkritikerin Klara Obermüller "gehört zu den ungenannten Quellen des Ministers". Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg hat große Teile eines NZZ-Leitartikels von ihr über die europäische Verfassung in seine Dissertation montiert. Nun verlangt sie eine Entschuldigung: "Insgesamt 86 Zeilen, mehr als die Hälfte des ganzen Artikels, hat er aus meinem Text in seine Arbeit übernommen: 86 Zeilen, in denen ich pointiert eine Meinung vertrete - und zwar meine Meinung."

Nach ersten beruhigenden Nachrichten sorgt sich Samuel Herzog nun doch wieder um Ägyptens antike Schätze. Zahi Hawass, der Direktor der Antikenbehörde, meldet in seinem Blog jetzt doch Verluste: "Namentlich Ikonen wie die Statuette von Tutanchamun mit Harpune oder (ausgerechnet) eine opfernde Nofretete. Dass ähnliche Nachrichten auch aus anderen Museen des Landes folgen werden, halten viele Experten für wahrscheinlich: 'Die Sicherheitsstandards der ägyptischen Museen sowie insbesondere der Grabungsdepots im ganzen Land sind allgemein schlecht und entsprechen in keiner Weise unseren westlichen Ansprüchen', sagt etwa der Ägyptologe Andre Wiese, der die Ägypten-Abteilung im Antikenmuseum Basel leitet."
Auf der Musikseite konstatiert Christoph Wagner, dass sich der Jazz gegen die digitale Revolutionen auch weiterhin als konservative Festung erweist. "Bis in die achtziger Jahre war das anders. Damals reagierten Jazzmusiker (gerade Giganten wie Miles Davis und Ornette Coleman) prompt auf Pop-Trends - in Fusionen wie Rock-Jazz, Punk-Jazz, Funk-Jazz, No Wave. Seither wirkt das Genre fast innovationsresistent."

(Via kooptech) Christiane Schulzki-Haddouti erzählt in den vdi-Nachrichten folgende Geschichte: "Alles begann in Tunesien: Als der Sicherheitsverantwortliche des amerikanischen Internetdiensts Facebook bemerkte, dass das Regime die Passwörter für die Facebook-Konten tunesischer Nutzer abgreifen konnte, ersann er eine simple wie effektive Lösung im Sinne der 'sozialen' Medien: Nutzer konnten sich fortan nur noch einloggen, wenn sie einige Bilder ihrer Facebook-Kontakte namentlich identifizieren konnten. Erst das soll die Organisatoren der Proteste geschützt und dafür gesorgt haben, dass die Revolution in Tunesien nicht schon im Vorfeld unterdrückt werden konnte."

Die Sympathie muss gegenseitig sein. Patrick Bahners zitiert Thomas Steinfeld in seinem Buch "Die Panikmacher" sehr zustimmend. Nun feiert Steinfeld von Feuilletonchef zu Feuilletonchef Bahners' "Meisterwerk der Aufklärung". Mit großartiger Genauigkeit nehme Bahners die oft scharfmacherischen Behauptungen der Islamkritiker Satz für Satz auseinander: "Er behandelt diese Sätze, wie ein aufgeklärter Theologe mit den Dogmen einer Konfession umgeht."
