Críticas:
"With the publication of the first two volumes of de Gruyter's new Encyclopedia of the Bible and its Reception (EBR) the year 2009 marks a major milestone in biblical scholarship. [...] The EBR is an indispensable tool for anyone whose work touches the Bible and its reception even remotely. The EBR is a must-have for every library that addresses Biblical studies, Ancient Near Eastern studies, or the cultural and religious history of the western world since late antiquity."Journal of Ancient Judaism Universitat Wien 2010, Volume 1, Issue 2 "Dass die neue Enzyklopadie sich als wahre Fundgrube und hilfreiche Materialsammlung erweisen wird, ist bereits jetzt kaum zu bezweifeln."J.C.C. in: Zeitschrift fur Alttestamentliche Wissenschaft 122/2010
Reseña del editor:
"The Encyclopedia of the Bible and Its Reception" (EBR) pursues a twofold task. Firstly, it comprehensively renders the current state of knowledge on the origins and development of the Bible according to its different canonic forms in Judaism and Christianity. Secondly, it documents the history of the Bible's reception, not only in the Christian churches and the Jewish Diaspora, but also in literature, art, music, and film, as well as Islam and other religious traditions and current religious movements. It provides an indispensable compendium of international research. It is edited by an international team of scholars, all experts in their field.
